Live Better Outdoors

Santee, California 92071 LIC# H-060281

Specializing in Xeriscape planting for San Diego's East County Residents. The drought in Southern California has continued for the last several years. 2017 saw higher precipitation but we are far from being out of a drought. We can design a new space that replaces a thirsty lawn with drought tolerant native plant selections. These plants are not only attractive but use up to 66% less water than a typical turf installation. We design xeriscape, outdoor living spaces and outdoor lighting. With the severe drought we are committed to do our part to help you
"Live Better Outdoors".

Proudly serving all the Communities of:

Another Santee redesign. This homeowner was plagued by weeds after this years rains. They wanted fruit trees and a vegetable garden in their backyard as well as an archery range. For the front they wanted curb appeal as well as a rose garden. As the plants mature I’ll post follow up pictures of the space
This Santee resident said goodbye to their high water bills and hello to a drought tolerant yard that is friendly to both butterfly’s and humming birds. The use of texture and color plays well throughout the space while the fountains entertain the senses.
Another Santee neighbor with a new front yard space. These clients wanted a extension of their driveway and drought tolerant planting’s throughout the rest of the space. This concept married seamlessly together and they have the additional parking they desired.
This Santee Neighbor was tired of soaring water bills. They also wanted a retaining wall to correct the slope of the front yard. The lawns were removed the wall was installed and a variety of xeriscape plants were added. Their back embankment was a collection of weeds which was replaced with a drought tolerant ornamental grass to stabilize the soil and prevent erosion. Check back in late spring for updated photos of the plants.
The owner of this Santee yard was tired of increasing water bills. The valves and timer were replaced, 100% drip irrigation and French drain were installed, while xeriscape plants freshen the space. Plant selections include: society garlic, bulbine, roses lantana, pink muhlenbergia, sages, ice plant Pygmy date palm and a strawberry tree.
When this yard in Alvarado Heights was started it was a dying lawn mixed with weeds, along with uninspired plant sections against the house. The first photos are the yard after it had been scraped of the lawn/weeds. As the plants mature into the spring and summer of 2018 I will update this photo set. All plants are now on drip irrigation and will thrive in the coming months.

Front yard redesign in Santee. All plants are butterfly or hummingbird friendly and low water usage. The rock used is Palm Springs gold and synthetic turf was used around the seating area.

A look back at a pocket garden I originally installed in August of '15.

The last four were taken in May of '17
